Hi there, my name is Borrah Jackson. I have 7 years of professional experience in graphic design and coordinating. Focuses range from marketing, animation, custom products, branding, publishing, and displays.
I began my professional career before I graduated from Otis College while interning at Sony Music in the Digital Marketing department, and then as a design intern at TwinArt, an Emmy-winning motion graphics firm.
After graduating in 2010, I was a graphic artist at a boutique animation studio, ToonZone Studios, where I designed and developed the various in-house marketing collateral. I worked closely with the VP of Business Development, designing and conceptualizing project overviews, marketing guidelines, back-to-school campaigns, 1-sheets, and various materials used to sell the broadcasting rights to our animations.
From there, I was hired as a production artist at Kingfish Media, LLC, (DBA Localess.com). Within my 5 years there, I was promoted twice; first to Senior Graphic Designer, and then to the production department, as the Production Coordinator. This coordinator role gave me an opportunity to develop relationships with vendors and printers and hone in on administrative and organization skills.
Afterwards, I accepted a Project Coordinator position at Capture Group, a promotional marketing company. My focus was product development and purchasing, helping clients figure out the exact details of their promotional hard goods projects, whether for retail or for event give-aways (waterbottles, power banks, backpacks, towels, sunglasses, totebags, stationary, anything to get your branding across!) along with the logistics and desired promotional outcome was exciting. On top of that, Capture Group held me to a higher level of professionalism considering I would be their contact person for so many design details. I also enjoyed developing the vendor relationship with so many of my manufacturers.
